Yes an electric soldering iron (gun typ) can be used directly on the screw head to soften the locktite, be sure to use a quality phillips tip screwdriver of the correct size. Carefully tapping on the end of the screwdriver with a softfaced 6 oz hammer may also help loosen the screw.
